Orders & Commissions |

Prices quoted are subject to revision for errors and omissions at any time.
We reserve the right to change specifications without prior notice. All
orders are subject to availability of materials. Requested completion dates
of orders are commissions will be adhered to wherever possible. Liability
in respect of any anomaly in the goods arising whether out of design or
manufacture or otherwise must be notified within 7 days of the date of the
invoice. |

Deposits |
Deposits for orders and commissions are usually 50% of the final
price. All deposits taken are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or
alteration of the order by the customer. Online payments for 'made to order'
items must be made in full in advance and are non refundable. |

Payment |
Payment is due on presentation of the invoice, or in the case of
commissions and orders payment is due on completion. All goods remain the
property of the Gallery until paid in full. We reserve the right to charge
interest on all overdue invoices at 5% above the base rate for the time
being of Lloyds Bank Plc. |

Exchanges & Refunds |
purchases at shop or exhibitions:
Commissions and orders can not be exchanged. The Gowan Gallery does
not give refunds unless work is faulty. Stock items bought at the
Gallery may be exchanged within one month from date of purchase only
if in perfect condition and unused. In the case of jewellery items
will not be exchanged if they show signs of being worn. Items may be
exchanged for another stock item or a credit note, valid for 12
months. Any evidence that the item has been worn or is damaged
in any way will result in the exchange
being refused or a damage charge deducted from the exchange value at The
Gowan Gallery's discretion.
purchases via online shop: Items may be returned for a
full refund (excluding delivery charge) only if returned within 7
days, in perfect condition, unused and in original packaging.
Items must be returned by Special Delivery in the envelope supplied
but it is the customers responsibility to pay for the return postage
in full. |

Delivery |
Any time or date of the despatch or delivery of goods whether specified in
the ‘Gallery’ quotation or otherwise given by the Gallery shall be taken as
an estimate made by the Gallery in good faith but shall not be binding upon
the Gallery either as a term of the contract or otherwise. Time for the
delivery shall not be of the essence unless previously agreed by the Gallery
in writing. In no circumstances shall the Gallery be liable for any loss or
damage sustained by the Customer in consequence of failure to deliver in
such time or by such date or in consequence of any other delay in delivery
however caused.
Postage and packing is charged at £7.00 for online
orders.
Items are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery to the
cardholders address and must be signed for.
If the items is in stock it will be dispatched on the
next working day (therefore you will receive the goods within 5 days
of your order). If an item is not in stock, you will be
advised by email with an estimated delivery time. This would
usually be 4 to 6 weeks. If this is not acceptable you have
the right to cancel the order within 7 days of this notification,
thereafter the order will be deemed as confirmed and these online
orders can not be exchanged, changed or refunded.

Gemstones |
Descriptions of gemstones given are to the best of our knowledge
correct, are based on our opinion and as indicated by our reputable trade
suppliers, but have not been subject to gemmological testing unless
otherwise stated. Weights of the gemstones are given to nearest point (i.e.
0.01ct). Any inclusions colour banding or flaws within a gemstone are part
of the natural character of the gemstone and shall not constitute a ‘fault’.
Any diamond assessments are given according to our opinion and that of our
trade supplier. Diamonds supplied are of colour G, clarity SI2 or better
unless otherwise detailed in the description. All diamonds are guaranteed
from CONFLICT FREE sources. Laboratory testing with an AnchorCert Certificate
(part of the British Assay Office services) can be obtained for an additional charge. Colour, cut and clarity
certificates are not given for stones
under 0.30ct in weight. GIA Certificated Diamonds on request.

The Gowan Gallery is
serious about your privacy. We strictly adhere to the requirements of
Privacy Laws in the UK and are registered under the Data Protection Act.
We only use your personal details for your order and our own mailing list,
thereafter you will receive occasional mailings from us with
information on
special exhibitions and offers. If you do not wish to be on our mailing list
please advise us by telephone or email. We do not sell or pass on any information with third parties, except where it is an essential requirement for

Fairs |
Sales at Exhibitions outside the Gallery from Joanne Gowan direct shall also
be liable to the above terms and conditions. |
