Wedding & Engagement Rings Individually Designed & Handmade.....
Having your rings made specially for you ensures that you get exactly what you want. The rings are made individually for each customer according to the particular wishes concerning the style, materials and price range.
The ring is the one item that the bride wears on her wedding day, which she will wear for he rest of her life!
Since the rings
have such a significant role in the wedding ceremony itself,
many couples both have rings to symbolise their vows to each other.
We recommend 18ct gold for both wedding and engagement ring since it is of high quality, good colour and relatively hard-wearing. We can make rings in yellow, red or white gold or a combination of these. Our 18ct White gold is not usually rhodium plated as this can become patchy over time and the natural darker grey of the white gold is attractive in it's own right. If you prefer the whiter look then we recommend Platinum as an excellent hard, white metal for wedding rings which also looks particularly good when combined with 18ct yellow gold. We also make rings in 9ct, 14ct and 22ct gold. We can now also offer Palladium in some shapes and sizes - this is a recently available 95% pure precious metal which should be allocated a hallmark in 2009. It is a good white colour similiar to Platinum and also very hard wearing. It is significantly less expensive than platinum or 18ct white gold. It is however almost have the density of platinum and so feels rather insignificant for a ladies wedding band unless a very chunky or wide design. It is a particularly good choice for wide mens wedding bands which would be prohibitively expensive in platinum. As a guide to relative costs a
3 x 2mm heavy D-shape ladies wedding band in a size K would be (
prices for April 2008 ) An important consideration when choosing the wedding ring is how it will look alongside your engagement ring. The two should fit comfortably together and both enhance and emphasise each other. It is usually possible to design and hand-make the wedding ring so that it will fit snugly next to your engagement ring.
